Sunday

A long time promised excursion and a natural extension to a walk we did on our last visit. Take the path down the hill between many houses, this soon become rather pleasant as we turn left onto park walk a path that leads to Bratton bordered on both sides by a thin strip of grass and trees and flower beds.

We stop for coffee on a tree stump having climb up the side of the Ball via a grassy farm lane from Bratton Court. After admirring the views we take the zig zag path upto the top and branch right to take the terrace path back to Higher Town and Minehead.

Lunch is had half way on a bench near the reservoir half way along the terrace. We are surprisede by a view of two Red Deer and a calf before decending down to the Church of St Michaels.

In the town we sit in the park to finish off the coffee before going back to the camp site .
